What It Is
Kids can go for the gold with Fantastic Gymnastics Dora. This 17-inch Dora doll is based on the new DVD Dora's Fantastic Gymnastics Adventure. The doll performs seven gymnastics moves, four full routines, and says more than 40 phrases in both English and Spanish. Dora even sings a song. To start, lay the doll on its back with its arms down, then press the star button on Dora's leotard. Dora will perform a warm-up sequence, followed by a floor routine that includes leg lifts, a backbend, a backbend with kicks, a handstand, and a handstand split. Kids can also lay the doll on its back with its arms up, then press the button on Dora's leotard to watch Dora count her toe touches. Place the doll on its stomach with its arms up, and Dora will pop up into a push-up position. If you lay the doll on its stomach with arms down, the doll will raise itself up into a split. Then Dora asks kids to help her stretch up her arms. Once kids do this, Dora asks for kids to hold her hands and lift her up. Dora will then do a special Super Splits move.
Is It Fun?
Kids don't have to be gymnasts to enjoy watching and helping Dora do her routines. We like that the doll moves very well as it goes from one move to the next. This interactive doll encourages kids to help Dora practice her routines and shows kids that exercise can be fun.
Who It’s For
Fantastic Gymnastics Dora is for Dora the Explorer fans ages 3 and up.
What To Be Aware Of
Four AA batteries are included, but these are for in-store try-me purposes. Fisher-Price recommends replacing the batteries before you play for best results.
When you begin, make sure Dora's head is facing forward. When adjusting Dora's arms, be aware that Dora's arms move only in one direction. If you want to lift up Dora's arms, you must swing them up from the back. To put Dora's arms down, swing them down from the front.
Fantastic Gymnastics Dora works best on a hard, flat surface.
