What It Is
Travel Blurt! tests your word knowledge while you're on the go. The object of the game is to be the first player or team to reach 12 points. Points are earned by being the first to blurt out the correct word after hearing its definition or "clue".
Players or teams choose their colored playing pieces and place them on the magnetic scoreboard, which is underneath the game box lid. One player will be the Reader and will read the clue and judge which player answered correctly first. Decide which side of the cards to use. The side with stars has easier questions. Then the Reader slides a card out of the Draw end of the card holder, just until the point value of the first word is revealed. The Reader announces the number of points and then continues to slide out the card and read the clue. Players blurt out the word they think the clue defines. (There is no penalty for wrong answers.) The first player or team to blurt the correct word moves ahead on the scoreboard the number of points specified on the card. Pass the cardholder clockwise to the next player or team to become the new Reader. When all three clues on a card have been read, place the card at the Discard end of the card holder.
Some clues are special One-on-One challenges, which are worth two points. A One-on-One pits two players or teams against each other in a race to blurt the correct word first. Other players or teams don't participate but help to judge the winner. There are also options for more advanced play.
Travel Blurt! comes with 75 double-sided word cards (450 clues), a card holder, a magnetic scoreboard (printed inside the lid), four magnetic player pieces, and instructions. The game is for three or more players.
Is It Fun?
We like how compact this fun word game is, making it perfect for taking on the go. The magnetic scoreboard lid and magnetic playing pieces ensure that you won't lose pieces or lose track of the score. Like the original Blurt! board game, Travel Blurt! tests players' knowledge of words and definitions. And with different levels and advanced ways to play, the game can be tailored to different ages and skill levels.
