What It Is
Cookie Monster loves cookies, but he also loves to count cookies. With Cookie Monster's Find & Learn Number Blocks, kids can count from zero to 10 with Cookie Monster. There are three number blocks, and each side of the blocks has numbers and pictures. Place a block in Cookie Monster's hands. (Actually a small tray on the front of the toy.) Cookie Monster will identify the number on the block and count that many objects pictured on the block. When the same block is placed into Cookie Monster's hands again, he will say a fun fact about the picture(s) on the block. Push the question button on the front of the base to enter Question Mode. Cookie Monster will ask kids to find a number or picture on the blocks. Cookie Monster also comes with a song block. Place the "1 2 3" block in Cookie Monster's hands and he'll sing a counting song. The instructions come with lyrics to the song so kids can sing along. Cookie Monster says more than 75 questions, facts, and phrases.
Why It’s Fun
Cookie Monster's Find & Learn Number Blocks is a fun and interactive way to help preschoolers with beginning number recognition and counting. Kids will see what numbers look like and what numbers represent as they count objects. The toy also reinforces listening skills as children play with Cookie Monster and identify the pictures and numbers for which he asks. The block play is great for helping with fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
Who It’s For
Cookie Monster's Find & Learn Number Blocks is for ages 2—4.
What to Be Aware of
Three AA batteries are included.
Kids will love exploring and placing the blocks in the toy and getting a response. For learning, we recommend co-play with the child to help identify the blocks, reinforce the number recognition, and provide a basic context for children to understand the numbers.
The toy is packaged in try-me mode. When you remove the toy from the package, activate its full range of features by moving the power switch from the Try Me position to On.
After a short period of inactivity, Cookie Monster will enter sleep mode. If Cookie Monster is in sleep mode too long, he will turn off to conserve battery power.
