What It Is

What It Is

Transformers: Dark of the Moon doesn't hit theaters until July 1, 2011, but fans can already get involved with the new versions of these classic characters with the first wave of toys based on the film. Starting May 16, Hasbro is releasing a line of action figures, vehicles, and roleplay toys that are all, like the Transformers themselves, "more than meets the eye."

Cyberverse Starscream Orbital Assault is an action figure and battle vehicle playset. Featuring the Decepticon Starscream, kids can transform both the action figure and the battle vehicle. Starscream easily transforms from Decepticon to airplane. The battle vehicle transforms from assault craft mode to battle station mode to space cruiser mode. The packaging converts into an action play scene.

Why It’s Fun

There's a lot of transforming action happening with this playset. From the Starscream action figure to the 3-in-1 battle vehicle and even the packaging, this playset is filled with open-ended narrative play opportunities.

Who It’s For

Starscream Orbital Assault is for ages 5 and up. Fans of the Transformers movies will like this advance look into the new movie.

What to Be Aware of

This playset is level one on the difficulty scale, meaning it is easy for kids to transform the action figure and vehicle. The playset comes with instructions, but those are really more of a guide to jumpstart creative thinking, which is an integral part of the play. Kids will need to use problem-solving skills and get creative to figure out how to transform the pieces.
