What It Is

Children love when mom or dad, grandma or grandpa, or another family member reads them a story. With Record a Story, a traveling parent or long-distance loved ones are able to read children a story even when they're not with the children. The books allow anyone to easily record his or her own voice narrating original and classic stories, and the narration then plays when each page is turned. All kids have to do is open the book and turn the pages to hear a loved one reading to them. Each book also features a dedication page that can be personally recorded with a special message for the book recipient. In addition, upon playback, soft music begins each narrated page.

The instructions are simple and guide the user through recording over the professionally recorded master narration that comes with the book and locking the new recording to prevent accidental erasure. There is no limit to the number of times the narration can be re-recorded.

Each nicely sized Record a Story book fits easily in a lap and has seven color-illustrated story spreads on sturdy pages, as well as a deluxe padded cover with rich, classic decorations that make this product a true keepsake. These books are so sweet and help kids stay connected to someone even when they aren't around. Kids will love hearing a long-distance loved one's voice whenever they want just by opening up the book.

Record a Story will launch with four titles: Guess How Much I Miss You, an original story with a rhyming narrative about missing a loved one who is far away; 'Twas the Night Before Christmas, the classic holiday story; Sesame Street: Together at Heart, a story from Elmo about special things that make loved ones feel close when they can't be together; and Dora the Explorer, a story about the popular Nickelodeon character and her friends reminiscing about their favorite adventures.

Each Record a Story requires three AAA batteries, which are included.
