What It IsFans of the CBS military police drama NCIS will love this classic whodunit game. Like their favorite characters on the show, players work as a team to solve crimes involving members of the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps. They must talk to suspects, examine evidence, and make an arrest. Although each player takes the role of one of the six main characters (lead agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs, special agent Anthony DiNozzo, agent Diva David, forensic specialist Abby Sciuto, computer specialist Timothy McGee, and medical examiner Dr. Donald "Ducky" Mallard), they work together to solve the crime. Utilizing each of the characters' skills, players work together using clues from the crime scenes and suspects. After all clues gathered have been thoroughly analyzed, players collectively decide which one of six suspects they will arrest. As in the TV show, Gibbs has the final say and will determine if the NCIS team got it right. The game, for up to six players, features nine original cases written by the NCIS writers and is unique in the games sector in that the players are required to play together.
Unless your teen is a big NCIS fan, this game appeals more to an older crowd. Also, don't play through all nine cases at once. Once the cases are solved, you can't play them again unless you play with people who have not played before and forfeit your right to choose the suspect (That would be cheating if you didn't!).
