- We recommend this product for ages 3 and up
What It IsParents continue to look for new ways to keep their kids active, while at the same time learning. Fisher-Price's new line of toys combines physical play with learning to encourage preschoolers to get up, get smart, and get going!
The Smart Cycle Extreme takes the experience of Fisher-Price's original Smart Cycle, which was a huge hit when it was first introduced, and brings it up a notch with exciting rumble-action, as well as cool new styling and colors. The Smart Cycle Extreme, just like its predecessor, is a kid-sized stationary bike that plugs into the TV. Kids hop on, start pedaling and steering, and play fun learning games. Kids can customize their on-screen vehicle with new extreme vehicle choices and designs! Smart Cycle Extreme comes with one software title, Learning Adventure Extreme, with three ways to play and learn: Driving, Learning Arcade Games, and The Big Race. Drive on a whole new road with construction zones, oil slicks, and gravel paths! Hit an obstacle and feel the rumble in the handlebars thanks to the new rumble-action technology!
Smart Cycle Extreme will feature six software titles (each sold separately) that feature rumble action-Disney/Pixar's Cars, Toy Story, Hot Wheels, SpongeBob SquarePants, Bob the Builder, and Planet Heroes. The Smart Cycle Extreme requires four D batteries, which are not included. It's worth nothing that the company has added a significant number of features to the product without increasing the original cost. The cycle is probably best for the 3-4-year-old set, though it's age graded to 6. Older children tended to be a little hard on the toy if they pedaled too hard.
