Jurassic World Velociraptor Claws Review (Hasbro)

Jurassic World Velociraptor Claws
What It Is

This toy is, in a word, inspired. The Velociraptor claws are made like gloves that slide easily over hands of virtually any size, and allows kids to go on their own dynamic, dino adventures. The flexible plastic gives a little bit of mobility as kids play and lets them pretend to be the rampaging beasts, taking on anything that gets in its way...or anything they imagine.

One of the things we really like about this hand puppet and Hasbro's entire Jurassic World line, is the way they've found innovative ways to integrate different types of classic play into the toys. The claws are inherently funny on a human hand, and will be great for open-ended, narrative-based play, and whether kids are recreating scenes from the movies or creating their own dino-mayhem (as we did), this is going to be lots of fun.

Is It Fun?

It's fun because it's all about the dinosaurs. The Velociraptors are the most terrifying dinos in Jurassic World, and what kid doesn't want to use that as a jumping off point for all kinds of creative play? The claws are easy to use and lets kids be "dangerous" while being creative and imaginative.

Who It’s For

The Velociraptor claws are designed for kids ages 4 and up, but any kid who lives dinosaurs, has an imagination and wants to engage in storytelling will get a kick out of this. It's also a healthy way for kids to create aggressive play scenarios highlighting the power-and-conflict play that's part of the entire Jurassic World story.

What To Be Aware Of

The claws are made of plastic, so hands can get a little sweaty with extended play.

The claw tips are a little hard, so kids should be cautioned not to hit one another with them.
