What It Is

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles from Activision is an action-packed, slash-and-dash game with an original story that follows the events of the August 2014 movie of the same name. In the game, a mad scientist, who is working with Shredder and the Foot Clan, has unleashed crazed mutants and robotic drones on New York City. Players will take on the roles of all four Turtles as they battle the bad guys through the streets, subways, and sewers of New York City.

Players can switch between the four Turtles on the fly and each Turtle has his own distinct strengths and weapons. For example, Leonardo and his katanas are better for close combat situations while Mikey has projectiles that make him better for ranged attacks.

Is It Fun?

This is a great way to expand on the fun, humor, and action of the movie.

Who It’s For

This game is for fans of the movie. It's rated E 10+ due to fantasy violence. There is no blood or gore and defeated enemies just disappear when beat. As for the game-play mechanics, we think kids as young as 6 should have no problems playing this on their own.

What To Be Aware Of

The Turtles and their weapons can be leveled up, which adds play value to the game but there is little reason to replay this once it is completed.

There are multiple save points in each level so kids can easily quit then return later.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is currently a Nintendo 3DS (and 2DS) exclusive.
