- We recommend this product for ages 4 and up
What It Is
BIC, maker of pens, pencils, and other writing instruments, is introducing a new line of writing instruments designed just for kids that help kids practice the proper writing grip. Products include mechanical pencils, ballpoint pens, and a stylus for use on touchscreens. The BIC Kids writing instruments can be used by left-handed and right-handed kids. Each item is sold separately.
The mechanical pencil, available in blue or pink, includes a pencil, an eraser, three name stickers for personalization, and lead refills. There is a yellow guiding line on the pencil's rubber comfort grip to help guide kids into the proper finger position.
The ballpoint pen, available in green or purple, has a retractable barrel. With just a twist, the pen tip will pop out. Twist again to retract the pen tip and keep the ink from drying out. The pen also has a yellow guiding line on the rubber comfort grip to guide kids into the proper finger position. It also comes with three name stickers for personalization.
The black-and-yellow stylus can be used with capacitive touchscreen devices, tablets, and smartphones. The tip of the stylus easily glides across screens for fingerprint-free precision and control. The yellow guiding line on top helps guide kids into the proper finger position.
Is It Fun?
These ergonomically designed writing instruments are comfortable to hold and help young kids practice their writing grip. The name stickers are a nice touch, especially when bringing these products to school, ensuring that kids don't lose track of their things. We think kids will like having their own pens and pencils just like mom and dad.
Who It’s For
The BIC Kids Stylus is for ages 4 and up.
What To Be Aware Of
Lead refills for the pencil are not sold separately.
The package for the stylus says it has a rubber grip, but ours appeared to be all plastic. There was no rubber grip like the one on the pencils and pens.
