What It Is
DigiBirds are toy birds that tweet and sing when kids blow or whistle. The DigiBirds Instant Choir 3-Pack comes with three DigiBirds and three whistle rings. Each bird has two modes of play. Turn a bird's switch to Solo mode and blow gently on the DigiBird's chest sensor for three seconds to hear the bird tweet. Whistle with the included ring to hear one of 20 bird songs. Kids can also connect two or more DigiBirds by turning their switches to Choir mode. Whistle with the ring to watch the birds sing a song, such as "Happy Birthday," together. You can also use the free Android and iOS app to trigger the birds to sing together. The app also works in Solo mode. Through playing the two mini games in the app, kids can unlock 14 more tunes for their DigiBirds to sing.
Is It Fun?
While one bird on its own is cute, it's pretty cool to watch all three of these birds sing together. And kids will like collecting the rest of the DigiBirds for an even larger bird choir. The app's mini games don't really add that much to the play, but you'll want to play the games in order to unlock the extra songs and make the birds sing those songs.
Who It’s For
DigiBirds is for ages 5 and up.
What To Be Aware Of
Each bird comes with three button cell batteries and three spare batteries.
This works best if you're two to three inches away from the bird's sensor.
The DigiBirds app is by Silverlit Toys, not Spin Master. The app is compatible with Android devices running 2.2 or later and iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch running iOS 6.0 or later. The app contains links for the DigiBirds YouTube and Facebook pages.
