EDITOR'S REVIEW
OVERALL EDITOR'S RATING:
What It Is

The Pirouette in Purple doll is Madame Alexander's classic eight-inch Wendy doll that was first introduced in the 1950s with a ballet theme. This pretty doll has light skin, brown eyes, and brown hair pulled back in a ponytail. She's dressed to dance wearing a one-piece purple leotard with a sparkly net overlay, satin bow, and a tutu. Shiny tights and purple ballet shoes complete the look. The doll is completely articulated, and her eyes shut when she lies down.

Is It Fun?

This doll would make a nice addition to a doll collection or a fun way to start one, especially for kids who also take ballet and dance.

Who It’s For

The Pirouette in Purple doll is designed for collectors ages 14 and up.

What To Be Aware Of

Because the doll is so poseable, she could be played with, but most collectors will probably want to keep this doll on display.
