What It Is
The Hot Wheels Workshop Airbrush Auto Designer is exactly what the name suggests-a personal airbrush station to customize your Hot Wheels vehicles. To use, select a colored pen and insert it into the airbrush. Be sure to push it all the way in until it clicks in place. Turn the knob to the paint setting. It can take a few moments for the paint to begin coming out of the airbrush, and if you see paint starting to foam at the tip, adjust the nozzle to reduce the flow of the paint. We recommend trying different settings until you get it to a nice, even spray. You'll need to experiment to get just the right flow of paint to transfer your patterns. Then, insert a stencil in the masking frame, put the car into the chamber, and raise it. Make sure the flexible stencil fits snugly over the car, then spray. For a stronger pattern, go over the stencil several times so you put down a nice layer of color. To change colors, simply swap out the pens. When you're finished, move the knob to the fan setting to help dry your pattern more quickly.
You can also use the stencil tool to create one of six different, individual patterns. Connect it to the nozzle and spray for about 10 seconds to transfer the pattern. When you want to change your design, that's easy, too. Simply use a damp cloth to wipe your car clean.
The set comes with one customizable car, three airbrush pens, stencils, and a spray mask.
Is It Fun?
This set offers a great new way to play with Hot Wheels that brings out the designer in every kid. We especially like the way this toy brings together two kinds of play-customization and classic vehicle play-to engage and entertain kids.
Who It’s For
The Hot Wheels Workshop Airbrush Auto Designer is for ages 3 and up.
What To Be Aware Of
Four C batteries are required.
If paint starts collecting at the tip of the nozzle as you spray, simply wipe it off. Keeping a paper towel handy for that will make it easier.
Wipe off the nozzle and the stencils with a damp cloth to keep them clean when playtime is over.
Only use the supplied markers, and be sure to store them tightly closed, cap side down in the toy.
