EDITOR'S REVIEW

Overall Editor's Rating

What It Is

Ten Rules of Being a Superhero by Deb Pilutti features Lava Boy and Captain Magma, a dynamic duo who follow 10 superhero rules and serve as a guide to young readers who aspire to be superheroes themselves. The rules include always responding to a call for help, using their super powers for good, making sure to have a tasty snack and get plenty of rest, always having a dependable sidekick, and more. The duo is made up of a boy and his superhero doll, but it's likely that only parents will pick up on that. The 32-page book is filled with bright illustrations that are sure to make kids laugh.
