EDITOR'S REVIEW

Overall Editor's Rating

What It Is

Kid Sheriff and the Terrible Toads, written by Bob Shea and illustrated by Lane Smith, tells the tale of Drywater Gulch, a town with a toad problem. The human Toad brothers keep stealing gold, kissing cattle, and insulting people's chili. Then one day, 7-year-old Sheriff Ryan rides into town, and using his knowledge of dinosaurs is able to put the bad guys away.

Is It Fun?

This is a clever and funny book that will have kids and parents laughing as they read. But it's more than just a silly story. It also introduces young readers to facts about dinosaurs.

Who It’s For

Kid Sheriff and the Terrible Toads is for ages 4-8.
