Magic Forest is a single-player magnetic puzzle game that is part of Smart Games line of travel games. The game comes with nine magnetic tile pieces that feature different paths on it. Use the magnetic tiles to create a longer path that connects the indicated objects in each puzzle around the edges of the board. There are 48 challenges to chose from, which range in level of difficulty from starter to junior to expert to master.
This is a good brain teaser for beginners and one that can keep kids occupied on roadtrips. However, there is, in our opinion a flaw to this game in comparison to others in the line. Many of the puzzles in this game have multiple solutions, while only one is presented at the back of the booklet. While on the one hand, it's nice that the puzzles are easy enough for young kids to solve we still think either more solutions should be provided or each puzzle should only have one per challenge. Kids are going to want to check to see if they correctly solved the puzzle and it can be confusing, especially for a 5-year-old, to see a different solution in the back of the booklet, yet theirs is still technically correct.
Magic Forest is for ages 5 and up.
Smart Games does disclose in fine print at the bottom of the instructions guide that many of the puzzles have multiple solutions.
This game is based on Smart Games' GoGetter Prince & Dragon game, but in a more compact form.
