What It Is
The DohVinci Style & Store Vanity Complete Design Kit from Hasbro uses Hasbro's brand-new dough compound to create a unique mirror vanity for beauty, storage, and display. Think of DohVinci like a 3-D printer for kids, or better yet a hot glue gun without the heat and concern of injury. The DohVinci Deco Pop compound looks and smells like classic Play-Doh, but in much the same way Play-Doh Plus is easier to mold and extrude, so is Deco Pop. Using Deco Pop and the DohVinci styler tool, kids can aim, squeeze, and design more intricate works of art, decorating on surfaces ranging from cardboard to paper to wood and more.
Select your color of Deco Pop compound and place it into the styler. Then holding the styler at an angle, with the tip touching the surface, trace over the indicated lines on the frames as you move the styler toward you.
This kit comes with one four-pack of DohVinci Deco Pop neon colors, one vanity stand, a specialized tip to create star-shaped lines and designs, a sculpting tool for stamping and sculpting, and tons of add-ons to accessorize your vanity. You can also use the DohVinci Deco Pop compound like a glue gun to adhere the accessory pieces to the tower. Trace the templates on each or think outside the lines to create your own unique and personalized vanity.
Is It Fun?
DohVinci is a unique and fun design compound that we think will definitely appeal to older crafty kids. It invites kids to test their creativity and the bright neon pops of colorful compound can easily create display worthy results for any room decor.
We do stress however that this activity is best suited for kids willing to put to the time and effort into it, because patience and focus with this kit yields the best results. It also requires strong fine motor skills to work with the tool so it really is best suited for kids 6 and up. Craft results are to some degree dependent on each child's age and skill level.
Who It’s For
The DohVinci Style & Store Vanity Complete Design Kit is for ages 6 and up.
What To Be Aware Of
Work slowly and draw the Styler toward you as the directions state. It makes it easier to follow the template and keep the Deco Pop compound pumping out steadily.
It does take some time to get used to working with the tools so we suggest following the guide carefully and practicing a bit on some scrap paper before you start designing.
If you do mess up, you can start over. You cannot, however, refill the Deco Pops with dough that has already been extruded.
The dough will set over night.
DohVinci contains wheat.
