What It Is

Spy Tag from Ravensburger is a two to four player card game that lets kids pretend to be secret agents. The game comes with 12 Agent Files, 48 Spy Tiles, 13 Briefcase Tiles, one timer, and instructions. To play, deal out the agent cards evenly amongst all players, display them face up, and set the timer. The oldest player goes first and draws a spy card then slaps it onto the matching agent card laid out in front of the players. Whoever has that agent card is "It" and it's his/her turn to draw the spy card. Play continues quickly with players drawing spy cards and matching them to agent cards until the timer goes off. Then the player who is "It" must draw the top card from the Briefcase pile to see if he is the spy whose been caught red-handed with the secret gizmo. If the briefcase is empty, the player is safe. But if the card shows the stolen gizmo, that player is out and play continues until only one player remains-the winner.

There's only one stolen gizmo card so if a player chooses it and is out, the card needs to be shuffled back into the briefcase cards so the other players have a chance to pick it as well.

Is It Fun?

It's easy to get the hang of Spy Tag after a few rounds and a good way for kids to practice their matching skills. It can be slightly nerve wracking racing against the timer to match cards and then picking the briefcase card but that's all part of the fun.

Who It’s For

Spy Tag is for ages 5 and up.

What To Be Aware Of

Two button cell batteries are required for the timer, which are included.
