What It Is

Discovery Kids Dinosaur Puzzle & Play is an iOS and Android app that offers two ways for kids to play and learn about dinosaurs. First, kids can complete 16 puzzles of different dinosaurs, including triceratops, velociraptor, iguanodon, and T. Rex. Each puzzle has three difficulty levels, and when you complete the puzzle, a narrated fun fact will appear on the screen, and you can touch the screen for animation and sound effects.

The app also has five coloring pages and one blank page. Kids can use the five digital coloring tools and dinosaur stamps to color in or create their own dinosaurs. The finished creations can be saved to your device's photo gallery.

Is It Fun?

This app is an interactive way to introduce dinosaurs to preschoolers. Young dinosaur lovers will like the challenge of completing the puzzles at each difficulty level and then seeing the completed puzzle come to life on-screen. The digital coloring pages engage kids in creative play.

Who It’s For

Discovery Kids Dinosaur Puzzle & Play is for ages 2-5.

What To Be Aware Of

On the app's homepage, you will find a button for a parent section and a button for more apps. Both sections can only be accessed by entering your year of birth. This prevents kids under 13 from accessing these sections and the app store.

Repeat Play

This is definitely an app geared toward young dinosaur fans who will enjoy progressing through the difficulty levels of the puzzles and making lots of digital coloring pages. Kids 5 and older will probably want more variety in the app's activities.
